Farbenliebe - A journey through my world of colors

Colors are magic for me. They accompany me, enchant me - sometimes they haunt me for days. There are tones that sneak into my heart and set off a little firework display. I see them everywhere: in nature, in magazines, in art and simply in everyday life. And sometimes it's almost as if they're talking to me.

In this post, I take you on my own personal color journey. Maybe you'll discover your favorite shade along the way.

Blue - my silent obsession

I love blue at the moment. But not just any blue - it's soft, smoky, slightly grayish and yet bright. A shade that soothes and radiates at the same time. I've been wearing it on my nails for days - and I fall in love with it every time.

Essie calls the color "bikini so teeny". And that's exactly how it feels: playful, dreamy, fresh, a bit of a teenager - in the very best sense.

Blush - the quiet classic

Blush is a perennial favorite in my color palette. This delicate, powdery pink is a real all-rounder: never loud, never obtrusive - but always stylish and present. Feminine, soft, timelessly beautiful.

I unconsciously choose it again and again. In my home, I come across it on cups, blankets, vases - and especially in my bed linen. Blush is particularly good to sleep in: soft, warm, cozy.

Pink - my loud love

If Blush is the gentle sister, then Pink is definitely the eccentric cousin: self-confident, spirited, with a touch of drama. But beware - not all pink is the same. The shade decides everything.

Too garish and it quickly becomes too much! Barbie style. But with the right tone and a little flair, pink becomes a powerful design statement. Especially in combination with red, it looks modern, surprising and simply cool.

For me, pink is a real mood booster - and sprays happiness hormones!

Red - a statement with soul

Warm red is a real magnet for me. A tone that almost tends towards orange - fiery, lively, powerful. Not a shrill red, but one that glows from within.

In interior design, it is the perfect accent color: a cushion, a vase, a side table. It brings life to the room - like a visual exclamation mark. It also makes a statement as an item of clothing. A little firework on the body.

Dark green - fabulous & majestic

Green has a magic all of its own. Especially a deep, slightly turquoise, mystical green. When this tone meets velvet or silk and shimmers in the light, I'm in love.

It looks noble and mysterious - like a whisper from an old fairy tale. And at the same time, it is reminiscent of nature, of forests, of something primal. No wonder dark green was once the color of kings.

Sage green - the relaxed team player

Softer - but no less effective - is sage green. A smoky, muted tone that simply always fits: in fashion, in interiors, on walls, furniture and fabrics.

It brings calm, freshness and harmony without ever dominating. A real team player among the colors.

Margarine yellow - a touch of California

A faded, almost bleached yellow - as if kissed by the sun. The color of vanilla soft-serve ice cream, old surfboards, yellowed leather seats in vintage convertibles.

There is something nostalgic about this yellow. It reminds me of summer, of lightness, of light-heartedness. And of sweet desserts.

Colors tell stories

I could name countless other colors - because they accompany me every day. Sometimes consciously, sometimes more casually. But they are always there: they shape my mood, inspire my creativity and shape my home. I keep rediscovering them - because every combination holds surprises. Colors tell stories. Quiet, powerful, emotional stories.

And you?

Which color speaks to you? Which shade has perhaps been with you for a lifetime?

Let me know in the comments - I'm looking forward to hearing your color stories.
